You build fifty units a year. So why market like you need fifty thousand buyers?

Most brands in this industry cannot have a huge sales year.

Not will not. Cannot.

The factory builds what it builds. Fifteen, Fifty, maybe a couple of hundred. And they sell. Every single one.

Yet the marketing plan on the wall is built for a company that needs to move three thousand units. Reach targets. Follower goals. Cost per thousand impressions. All of it borrowed from businesses with a completely different problem to yours.

You do not have a reach problem. You have a community problem.

What the content is actually for

Your buyers are already on your waitlist. Sitting there, eighteen months out, quietly wondering whether they made the right call. Questioning whether the money should have gone into the mortgage instead.

That is the job. Keep the dream alive through the wait.

Almost nobody in this industry makes content for the people who have already said yes. It is the highest value work available to you and the space is empty. They do not need convincing. They need to keep feeling good about it, every month, right up to handover day.

The brands that already know this

Porsche runs driver days. Ferrari runs owner rallies. Mercedes-AMG puts customers on a racetrack in Australia with Mick Doohan in the passenger seat.

None of that is advertising. It is a community you join, not a product you buy. The product is just the ticket in.

They will build it without you

Here is the part that should bother you.

If you don't build the community, your owners will. Maybe they already did. Run by an owner, on a channel you do not control, where your buyers ask each other the questions they should be asking you. Where the warranty gripes land. Where the next purchase gets talked about.

That is your most valuable audience, in a room you do not own and cannot see.

You do not want to shut it down. You want to be in it. Better still, you want to be the one who built it.

So, some questions

When is your owners’ fishing comp? Your factory open day? Your convoy up the Cape, owners only, one weekend a year?

What do you send someone in month nine of an eighteen month wait?

Who owns the room where your customers already talk?

You do not need fifty thousand followers. You need the five hundred people who will own one, love it, and bring the next five hundred with them.
